Importance of a Pediatric Dentist.

Introduction

In our society, the clinic or the Dentist is often portrayed as a situation of danger. Often to ensure a good behaviour the child is threatened with the visit to the Dentist/Doctor.This creates a negative impact in the child’s mind regarding the image of the Dentist/Doctor.

Amongst the specialized avenues in Dentistry, A Pediatric Dentist is a Dentist treating the teeth of children right from eruption to the ages of 12 to 14 years.

In my clinical practice as a Pediatric Dentist,I am trained to emotionally handle the delicate mind of a child. With gentle explanations and motivation, We slowly get a child to cooperate with the various treatment aspects .I also make the child understand about members of the dental and medical field as people who care. At the end of the treatment appointments, the child leaves the clinic with confidence and associate the Dentist as friends relieving pain.
